Paperwork filed to remove Castleman statue from Cherokee Triangle

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The city of Louisville has filed paperwork to remove the John B. Castleman statue from the Cherokee Triangle, Mayor Greg Fischer announced on Thursday. A Certificate of Appropriateness is required when any exterior feature or structure is modified in a Local Landmark District (like the Cherokee Triangle Preservation District).

VINE GROVE, KY (WAVE) - Meade County Police uncovered a tangled web of crime when they responded to a call of a stabbing on Thursday morning. Police went to investigate a reported stabbing on Four Chaplins Lane at 9:40 a.m. They found a 17-year-old girl who had been stabbed in the hand. But that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Police: Drunk man mounts horse at Churchill Downs, rides to track entrance
